CAROLINE BARNES
As a lifelong creative person, I pursued many artistic mediums before picking up a camera in high school & falling in love with it. While photography has been the longest lasting and most versatile of my creative interests, it's not what I limit myself to. As I pursued my photojournalism degree in college, I found the element of personal stories within art to be endlessly inspiring. Therefore, the title "visual storyteller" seems to be the best term to summarize what I chase after in my creations and what I offer to the world.

I recently completed a 3 year full-time internship on the media team at the UGA Wesley Foundation. Before that, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at The University of Georgia. As a student I worked as a Staff Photographer at The Red & Black, the independent student-run newspaper in Athens, Georgia, on the Photo and Special Publications desks for three years. I am currently pursuing a career in food photography to combine the elements of art and storytelling into beautiful, meaningful work.
